Summary
As a broke young adult, Phainon was slowly going insane filing job applications. With each rejection or ignored application on his end, he knew he was running out of time to find some way to pay his bills. His roommate and parents couldn't cover for him forever. In the midst of his desperation, his close friend Castorice gives him another option - becoming a sugar baby. Desperation and trust in his friends leads Phainon to join the strange app that Castorice mentions to him and eventually, right as he's about to give up on the app, it leads him to Mydei.
Being paid to just exist wasn't what Phainon had expected when he met Mydei. It did give him a good excuse to ask his unfairly attractive sugar daddy out on dates though.

So he watches him slumber, for there is nothing else to do, or so he tells himself. Like this, he can observe all he wants, and the mermaid can’t make a fuss. He brings a gentle hand to tuck his bangs behind his ear, and traces his fingertips down his jaw.
Even if he finds Phainon irritating, even if he wishes to be alone, he can’t relinquish the fact he saved him. Found him in the dark abyss and plucked him from his grave. For that, he does not know if he should be grateful, but he knows he should be less harsh with him.
Mydeimos tries to find a cure for his terminally ill mother, Queen Gorgo, but attempt after attempt he fails. On his last chance, he captures a mermaid, a creature whose flesh should solve his woes, but he can't bring himself to kill and sets him free.
And when his father learns of such an act years later, he condemns him to drown in the same ocean where he enacted his betrayal, only to be saved by the very same mermaid who brings him to a secluded island to heal.

When Khaslana had decided to desert the Antimatter Legion and take the young twin Stellaron bearers with him, he had mostly done it out of defiance. This isn’t his first act of rebellion against his “benefactors,” but it certainly is his most egregious one, and he doubts that he’ll be so easily forgiven if and when they manage to drag him back into their fold, as they always have done.
He only hopes he can give Caelus and Stelle a life far, far away from Destruction before that time comes.

However, it's pretty common for Phainon to be pulled into surprising twists of life without much of a say in the matter, rather bearing the brunt of hard decisions than make someone else sacrifice their freedom in her little village. The most nerve-wracking part of the whole occasion was that she wasn't allowed to know who she was marrying. The one perk was that least it was a Kremnoan, giving her an excuse to finally visit the City-state of her childhood dreams.
...though, maybe they should have told her she was marrying into royalty.

He made his way to the living room where his half-assed office was set up. The room that would have been used for an office was lined with drop cloth and had been turned into a studio for Mydei, so Phainon happily made do with an over-the-arm table that worked with the nice sofa they owned and his laptop.
He would kiss Mydei all over all the time if he was allowed, but that wasn’t really an option, he really didn’t like the taste of turpentine or oil paint. He discovered both of those facts quite early on in their relationship.
This is a SEQUEL to the 10-part story about Phainon confessing his love to Mydei while in high school and being a total dork about it.

Summary
Phainon struggles with his identity as an omega, and his role as the most 'perfect' chrysos heir leaves no room for mistakes or weaknesses. With the secret of being an Omega in mind, he cannot let that secret run loose, especially against the council of elders.
Unfortunately for Phainon, he has become quite close to the alpha crown prince of Castrum Kremnos, who happens to be his greatest rival, and equal (and object of his jealousy), who does not seem to be as obtuse as he seems.
Can Phainon successfully fool Mydei with his long-standing charade? Or will Mydei find out about the 'dirty' little secret he is hiding?
OR Phainon has self-esteem issues (as always), but with the added insecurity of being an Omega. And now hides it under the facade of being an alpha. Un(fortunately), the crown prince of Kremnos doesn't seem as obtuse as he originally seemed...
