Summary
“To be evil, to be wicked, is to be totally alone.”- Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock&Co.: “The Greek Interpreter, Part One”
Moran’s funeral happened on a completely average day.
The man whose name was not to be known thought this was terribly banal. Had he the power over the skies that he did over his criminal underworld, they would be pouring rain. The typical grey London skies would be bright and sunny and warm compared to the downpour the ceremony demanded.
It wasn’t fair.
He had only just gotten him back.

Summary
James Moriarty loved many things: his criminal empire, the feeling of an intricate scheme coming together, the adoration of his students, a certain true crime podcast, his sweet boy Archimedes, his dear Colonel, and above all of these-
“Eureka! Finally, you bow to my bidding, foul, fickle beast of wire and sound!”
-was a deep and abiding love for the dramatic.
Professor Moriarty sets up a soundboard for his first encounter with Sherlock Holmes. (Set just before The Six Napoleons, part 4).

Summary
The thing is, Jack knows spaceship rules. They’ve been drilled deep into him since his time at the Time Agency—probably deeper than the other recruits, considering he was always the most defiant out of the bunch. It boils down to this: the captain must be obeyed at all costs. Given that it’s their spaceship, if a passenger can’t measure up, then it’s the captain’s right to punish how they see fit.
Ideally, by which Jack means on his best days, he’s certain that the Doctor wouldn’t purposefully hurt any of his friends. But Jack isn’t really his friend, is he? He’s the gift the Doctor brought along for Rose, who’s his real friend, his—what’s the word he uses? Companion?
Yeah. Well. Jack’s no goddamn companion. He’s a mild inconvenience at best, not particularly worth the Doctor’s attention. Not his responsibility.
And he’d just screwed up. Royally.//
Jack makes a mistake, and assumes he knows the consequences. (He assumes wrong.)

The Master’s body lay in the TARDIS for three days.
The regeneration never came.
It took the Doctor half the night to build the pyre.

Summary
The Doctor drags in a gasping breath of air so thin in oxygen it barely does anything to replenish his supply, even with his system's supreme efficiency of binding it. He's dazed, disoriented, vaguely nauseous and throughly miserable. The air is its own form of torture, making him cough, but really everything hurts. He can't find it in himself to be surprised at his prior relinquishment of life, if this is how it feels.
The Doctor needs Martha to keep him alive. There is no way for this to end well.
