Summary
His captain’s conqueror’s haki settles across Jinbe’s shoulders like sun on the ocean.
“It’s humbling, isn’t it?” says Brook, beside him. His voice is low, a murmur, and there’s a reverence to it that Jinbe feels echoed in his own chest.
So he nods, and says, “Yes.”

Summary
Most of the pirates on the Moby Dick have fought battles at near-incomprehensible speeds. Just a light spar against Jiru required exceptionally quick thinking. Yet, not a single one of them could make out what flew across the deck past Oyaji’s chair, hard into the back wall behind the captain. Worse, no one had sensed another presence before it was already on the ship. They certainly hadn’t seen where it came from, even though there’s nothing but sea or sky for miles around.
On the one hand, it’s annoying to have Jinbei’s visit interrupted; on the other, perhaps the still unknown projectile heralds a battle of some kind, giving them a chance to fight alongside their honorary brother.

Summary
He rests his head against Shakky’s shoulder. She leans her own back, cheek pressed to his hairline. When he hums, “They’re all going to die, you know,” he feels her nod against him.
“Not without a fight,” she says, and it’s not malicious—just blunt in that way she’s always had. “And Roger stopped being your responsibility a long, long time ago.”
