Summary
So as I was writing Beautiful Boy I realized two things, one I didn't really want to write a giant chapter story, and two I had all these other smaller one or two shot ideas that I wanted to write instead based in this Universe. Before he knows it, he’s in Robby and Jack’s neighborhood. He thinks. It all looks so fuzzy, and fuck his headache is getting worse. He’s looking around, trying to find his way, when a hand claps his shoulder. He screams, turning to try and fight off whoever has come to attack him. Instead, it’s Robby who he sees behind him. Again, he thinks, everything’s a bit fuzzy around the edges right now.
“Mouse!?” Robby yells over the rain, which holy shit when did it start absolutely pouring.
“Mikey,” Dennis whimpers, looking over his partners face, “H-How did I get here?”

Summary
Dennis is immediately distracted from his task choosing from the vending machine. Tilting his head down, he bounces her slightly on his hip, swaying from one side to the other. His mouth is moving, though Robby can’t hear what he’s saying from here. His cheeks are a little flushed, too.
“Do I need to remind you two that you’re professionals?” Dana comments from behind them. Robby mildly snaps out of it— well, enough to turn and see Jack beside him doing just as he’s doing: staring openly at Dennis with the tiny child. “He’s just holding a baby. And besides, you shouldn’t be ogling one of your students.”
“He’s not a student anymore,” Robby corrects her at the same time Jack protests, “We’re dating him.”
“You shouldn’t be ogling anyone, I don’t care what your excuses are.”
or: Jack and Robby witness Dennis caring for a clingy child and start thinking thoughts.

Jack blinked…and then managed to coherently say, “You…you’re on night shift? Since when?”Whitaker looked up at him with those wide, bluer-beyond-blue eyes of his and quipped, “As of right now, it looks like. I mean, I got the shift change notification a little over a week ago. They gave me the last six days off to adjust my sleep schedule, and now I’m here…” His voice trailed off a bit as he stood and adjusted his scrubs, which looked to be slightly big on him.
“…that’s not gonna be a problem, is it? …Dr. Abbot?”
(aka the fic where Robby lends Jack his favorite intern for the night shift when it becomes obvious that Jack needs some stress relief...but it turns into something that Jack never expected)
