Truly, he should have figured Eddie would have something to do with it. It was always going to be Eddie. There's no doubt in his mind he would use his powers to save anyone. It equally could have been Bobby, or Hen, or Chim, but deep down he knew, it was always going to be Eddie. It was fate. Buck would do whatever it would take to save the man that he cares about so deeply it almost hurts to think about.

Summary
On his way from the law office, after rejecting the settlement offer but before he can reconcile with his family at the fire house, Buck mysteriously turns in to a Golden Retriever.
