Summary
A Wicked: For Good reimagining where after Elphaba defies gravity, Fiyero and Feldspur chase after her into the western Vinkun skies and find her terrified, furious and alone. From that moment on, the three of them become part of the rebellion, freeing Animals, sabotaging Morrible and The Wizard's regime and surviving a storm of propaganda that brands Elphaba wicked and Fiyero bewitched.
Amid politics, trauma, slow reconciliation, and self-discovery, our green witch and Vinkun prince carve out comfort and home in each other. A home they must protect, nurture, and fight for against Oz, against plots and against themselves.

Elphaba had been ablaze with fury and power in the City. She had seemed larger than life. Larger than anything he'd ever known. But here, in the soft lamplight of her refuge, all that heat had burned down to embers. She looked suddenly small to him: too young for the weight she carried, too exhausted by the sins of Oz that her soul seemed to carry.
Even so, the quiet strength in her posture hadn’t dimmed; she was still brave in that strong, unyielding way that made something deep and restless in Fiyero ache desperately to reach for her.
That feeling, at least, was familiar.

“Don’t speak,” Fiyero warns him, and Feldspur knows deep in his bones that this is so much worse than he had anticipated when Fiyero had woken him up in the middle of the night to race toward the Emerald City, Madam Morrible’s announcement still ringing in their ears.
Never in twenty six years has Fiyero asked him to be silent, to pretend to be something he isn’t, to keep quiet for the sake and comfort of others.
But now, here, as he brushes his hand down Feldspur’s mane and whispers into his ear, his voice and hands alike trembling in the darkness of the once vibrant Emerald City, he knows that this is it.
This is what they’ve all feared, Animals from across all of Oz, from the corners of Munchkinland to the valleys of the Vinkus.

Her eyes moved to the desk, the flower sitting in its container, “No one had ever got me flowers before. Call it sentimental.” Her brows furrowed, but he saw her chest rise quickly, the sharp intake of breath.

She knows where she is. She’s on her way to the Emerald City. On her way to meet the Wizard.
It’s not like she’s never come back here before, in her head. She revisits it plenty, and it comes to her repeatedly in her dreams. She’s gone over every minute detail of how she could have avoided her fate, over and over again, chiding herself constantly for her temper, for being so quick to anger, for not being able to think on her feet.
Impulsivity, acting without thinking. Not like that’s how she ended up back here again too.

According to the books that Elphaba has read on the subject, the common field poppy flourishes best in full sun, with well draining soil. It can be found in home gardens and in meadows. It prefers cool weather rather than boiling heat. It blooms most beautifully in late spring to early summer.
Poppies also bloom, Elphaba has found, quite beautifully in the graveyard of her own lungs.

But Fiyero barely has time to marvel at her before he’s being pulled upwards, the air rushing around him and before he knows it Elphaba is above him, straddling his hips, pressing his body into the mattress with her solid weight. The fire beside them spits green and teal, a confirmation of what he already knew, her magic being a strength in more ways than one. Elphaba’s eyes are dark with desire and something else – something almost playful - as they devour him in a way that makes his brain falter, mind crackling like static.
