Summary
After a brutal shift, Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch slips hard into little space on the curb outside the ambulance bay. Intern Dennis Whitaker finds him, gets him home safely, and steps up as his caregiver. What starts as one night of support slowly becomes a chosen family as Robby’s husband Jack Abbott returns, Dennis’s boyfriend Frank Langdon integrates, and Trinity Santos brings her mysterious expertise.
Through tantrums, meltdowns, double pneumonia, broken lamps, and a very fussy two-year-old mindset, Robby learns he doesn’t have to carry everything alone. The entire PTMC team gradually discovers the truth and chooses acceptance.

Summary
Every day since they met, Jack had seen Robby trace the mark with his thumb. It was on the inside of his wrist, the D.W. a perfect image of the J.A. on the other arm. He had insisted that it was a sign the mark was real, that there was a balance, a third soul to be found. Sometimes, when Jack saw Robby sinking into the black pit of depression, when he couldn’t pull him out, he found himself believing it was true.
or: Robby and Jack finally meet the man whose mark they bear, but Dennis Whitaker isn't aware that he bears theirs.

Summary
Jack and Michael have accidentally soul bonded.
It happens.
When two people are so deeply ingrained in each other's lives and wellbeing, the souls tie together. Make a knot that is hard to untie.
The bond requires touch. Intimacy. Physical closeness to survive.
But Michael's straight. And they're not lovers.
When Michael sleeps with someone else, their "platonic" bond shatters, and Jack with it.
