“I ain’t got nobody else to talk to and I know you don’t either. Now–” Jedediah shifted a bit in his seat, leaning in closer to Octavius, “–What’s yer favorite color?”
“Such a basic question! But fine. It’s red.” Octavius gestured to the red scarf on the back of his chair.
“Such a basic answer!” Jedediah shot back before answering the question himself. “Mine’s blue.”
“As if that is not any more basic of an answer!” Octavius’ threw his hands up in exasperation.
“Whatever, I swear if this is the attitude you have, I pity yer students, Octopus.”
or Octavius is a latin teacher who is fed up with adults but loves the kids like his own and Jedediah is an art teacher who loves to screw with his least favorite latin teacher.

“Uhhhh… Hi,” Crowley started lamely, scrambling to find a way to explain the situation as quickly as possible. His mind was refusing to work properly, thoughts slow as if doused in oil. He hadn’t really thought about what to say on his way here – he’d been too busy focusing on the getting here part before he would collapse. “I was wondering if I could… If I could maybe die in here, if you don’t mind..?”
The expression on Aziraphale’s face changed abruptly, telling him that the angel did, in fact, mind.
(In which a mortally wounded demon just wants to get somewhere quiet to die but his Adversary will have none of it. A story of how they both learn just how much they care.)

He only took the job for the opportunity to sculpt his masterpiece from local clay, before planning to leave abroad once it is finished. But his plans go astray when an all-too-similar farmhand stumbles into the museum, and Octavius’s masterpiece takes a turn into the imperfect beauty of asymmetry.

Octavius is an Italian sculptor. Jedediah is a farmhand. They meet and Octavius’s latest planned statue starts to look more and more like Jedediah as he falls in love.
