    “The prosecution calls Stellar Mere, Victor of the Sixty-Ninth Hunger Games, to the stand as witness against Coriolanus Snow.” Every citizen of Panem goes silent at the words, and in the courtroom, all heads turn towards the back as Finnick Odair pushes open the pair of solid oak doors. He stops and stands off to the side, inclining his head towards the woman who gives him no mind. She keeps her head high as she walks past him and makes her way to the front of the room.

    Gasps follow her, as Stell's open backed dress reveals the marks of cruelty left on her body. Years ago, it revealed expanses of smooth, tanned skin. Today, the same fabric does nothing to hide her bony shoulders, thin frame, and the scars that cover her entire back.
