Summary
As the only heir to the kingdom of Smallville, Prince Clark grew up knowing his duty was to provide his people with a legacy - despite his own desires. Training to become a knight since the death of his parents, Bruce assumed he would never have a family and would have to be content with loving his best friend from the shadows.
As his 25th birthday grows closer, Clark’s health starts to deteriorate so the kingdom’s council speeds up the marriage process. After an attack leaves King Jonathan dead and Prince Clark injured, desperate to save Clark from both his illness and an arranged marriage, Bruce travels far and wide, trying to find a cure.
Despite not wanting to leave Clark in the hands of possible candidate Mercy Graves and her advisor Lex Luthor, Bruce has few options as the council pushes for Clark’s early marriage.

His eyes are ablaze, brows low and angry, disapproving. He’s shorter than Bruce, dark hair blowing in the wind, but his presence is large, his power crackling under his skin. “Get off me.”
“No.” Kal’s fingers are digging into his armor, leaving dents. “You’re reckless and stupid. You don’t know what you’re doing.”
“And you do? How long have you even been on this planet?”
Kal draws his hand back, and Bruce tenses, thinking this is it. They’re finally going to kick the shit out of each other, and probably break some things along the way.
But that doesn’t happen.

It's not like most people were paying attention to him anyway. It wouldn't be Gotham if people actually did. Still, he was hard to miss, considering he towered over, well... the entire general public. Bruce can't help but think that his, larger, stature isn't what's garnering all the attention, though. No. He thinks that award goes to the scent of omega in heat clinging to a man that could be mistaken for a bear. Bruce just wanted to get home already.
