“Dad?” He calls out, “Ravi’s calling you.”
“Ravi?” asks his dad, confused, “Bring it to me, but you can pick up.”
Chris picks up the phone, feeling something twist in his stomach that he couldn’t have explained logically.

Summary
The thing about Eddie and Hen bonding is that he might not want to admit it, but Buck’s jealous. He’s achingly and overwhelmingly jealous. He’s jealous of Eddie.
He knows how it sounds, he knows what people think. He hasn’t even tried to raise it with Maddie, because she’d laugh at him and she wouldn’t believe him, and she’d ask if he was sure he wasn’t jealous of Hen. It really isn’t that.
Hen is special. Hen’s always been there for him, always been a steady and constant support like no one else.
The thing that no one seems to understand is that he lost Eddie months ago.

Sure, he hasn’t spoken to Christopher in what must have been months, his pillowcase still smells of Tommy, and hell, there are more than three dozens of oatmeal raisin cookies in his kitchen, and he fucking hates raisins. Then there is Maddie, pregnant again, walking towards the edge again, and the real cherry on top, now Eddie, asking him to bring some boxes on his way to help with packing and–
