Summary
Maeve Anderson started with a silk curtain and nothing to do but get yelled at. Her life involved two things, being punished for her nature and twisting and turning around the silk she kept on her ceiling. They were both dangerous.
Her nature, a siphon in a tiny world was a constant threat. She took every chance to run. She hadn't meant to stay in NOLA long, only to get a taste of freedom before she was called back to get yelled at more. But she had gotten ahead of herself and forgotten her lightweight status- it was thanks to the vampire blood in her veins that she survived the fall. It was thanks to Marcel Gerard that she thrived.
Her passion, being up in the air with nothing but fabric and joy to hold her, was another kind of danger. She could fall and crack her skull, or worse, lose her ability to do the one thing that brought her joy in her small world. She was lucky that she never had to face such a thing. Then, upon becoming a heretic, she didn't worry for falling, because she knew she would heal.
Not even standing at the side of the vampire king or rapid healing could save her from falling now. Not when she was falling straight in the sight of Elijah Mikaleson. Not when she was falling in love.
