Summary
“What?” Furina shrugs nonchalantly to herself, her hands on Clementine’s hips to keep her from falling off her knee. “Have you never taken care of a child before?”
“My mother died before I could meet her,” Navia reminds her.
At the same time, Clorinde also says, “My master left on my tenth birthday, and my parents were not present in my life.”
Furina grumbles something like, “Touché,” under her breath.
Or, Clorinde and Navia didn't think that they would face parenthood (so soon, or at all), but here they are.

Summary
Navia looks at her, eyes bright and wide- and a smile breaks out on her face. This close to the girl, Clorinde is able to trace the freckles that coat the girls skin like constellations. She wishes to reach out, to touch them, to trace them.
“Clorinde, right?” Navia asks- and Clorinde finds herself tongue-tied in the worst of moments. She nods her head dumbly, starstruck by the shorter girl. “I like your name. Wanna be my friend?”
And when she forces her mouth to open, when she forces her vocal chords to produce a sound akin to yes-
Well, Clorinde knew her fate was sealed then and there.

Summary
And then she thinks: now. It has to be now.
“Do you want to go out with me sometime?”
She almost said it. Almost.
The sentence formed completely inside her — clear, simple, sincere. Ready to be spoken like a secret carried by the wind. The courage was already rising in her throat when, suddenly, a hand landed on Chloe’s shoulder.
Max freezes.
“Oh,” Chloe turns with an automatic, gentle smile. “Max, this is Rachel. My girlfriend.”
Or
Max decides to ask Chloe out one day and almost makes a bad choice

Summary
Six years after Arcadia Bay was lost to the storm, Max Caulfield is piecing her life back together. She’s found solace in Amanda, whose love feels steady and safe, offering Max a chance to finally breathe. But when Chloe Price resurfaces just days after a catastrophic storm strikes Max’s campus, the calm Max has built begins to splinter.
Chloe—cool, magnetic, and haunted by the ghosts of their shared past—pulls Max into a whirlwind of old wounds and unresolved feelings. Together, they navigate the jagged terrain of love, loss, and guilt, where every step threatens to reopen scars long thought healed.
Max thought she’d moved on, but love is never simple, and some storms never truly pass. As past and present collide, Max faces a deeper storm within herself. Has she truly grown beyond the girl who sacrificed everything? Or is she still searching, not for closure, but for who she’s meant to become? And when love and loss demand answers, will she have the strength to weather what comes next?

Summary
Steady and composed, Lauma walked over to Nefer, her every step deliberate. She raised her hand above Nefer's face, the silvery gleam of her blood catching the light in the dimness around them. Drops of blood flowed like rain in barren land, the promise of renewal and vitality imbued within them. Silver met brown as her blood mingled with Nefer's own. The blood dried in patches along Nefer's lower eyelid and cheek, the colour of rust - shiny, but faded. Nefer shuddered as the blood continued to drip but she remained still. She fought the tremors in her body and summoned every last ounce of energy to stay steady.
After the battle against Rerir, Nefer is left blind and dependent on Lauma’s care for her recovery. The event pulls the two women together, compelling them to face the undeniable closeness that neither can easily dismiss. As vulnerability slips through the cracks of the walls they've built between them, they find themselves drawn to each other in ways they thought had faded with time.
