What if one day you woke up and went to work, thinking life was good? Your job was good, paid decently and it was an important position. Then over the course of one day, everything you thought was good was actually not. This is what happened to Hermione Granger. A bad headache, her best friend and her department head, Severus Snape, have turned her whole perception of the society she lives in upside down. All the horrors the ministry have done due to the machinations of Albus Dumbledore for the 'greater good' are merely excuses for the plans of one man to control everyone. There is resistance, there is hope, but will it be enough?

Sirius Black has been watching Hermione ever since she finished her masteries. The woman who Harry considered his sister in all things, had become a beautiful woman. Her intelligent, witty, kind and caring personality made her irrisistable to him. He'd always been considered a ladies man, but he knew if he wanted to pursue her he had to put those days behind him. So when she declared to the table at Ron Weasley's wedding that she had no plans to date anyone and focus on her career, he felt like she had issued him a personal challenge.
He asked her out on a date, but she refused, telling him to try again.
So he did, every time he saw her, it had almost become a game to them, a playful way they flirted. But she always said no, until he was beginning to give up hope, that there was a reason she kept denying him, she said yes.

It’s only been three years since the battle of Hogwarts and now that life was returning to a sense of normalcy, Hermione felt stuck in the past. She felt like something was missing from her life and she wasn’t happy. So Hermione decides to go on holiday in Greece after divorcing Ronald Weasley.
She is enjoying the recharge of her self and seeing a new place, walking the marketplace. Later she has a few too many drinks and falls asleep in her hotel room.
When she awakens, she’s startled to find out she’s not in Greece anymore. She’s not even in 2001 anymore. She’s looking at Albus Dumbledore from his sitting room couch and the year is 1981.
Now she’s stuck and doesn’t know how she can get back to her time, or how it was even possible. She knows she can’t mess with time, but what if she could save just one person?

“Warmy and toasty, just like the real thing,” Potter replied with a solemn nod.
Remus was looking at them with his mouth hanging open in utter disgust and slowly began moving his breakfast farther away from the pair.
