Summary
It started as a challenge: Each time my character sleeps in a bed, I write a new journal entry for them. Each entry will be posted as a chapter. Due to this, most will probably be short.
My playthrough uses the Alternate Start Mod so i don't have to be an urgently worried parent. It also has 50 other mods. Let's see where this takes us... -

Summary
Sometime during their unstoppable descent into the realm of the damned, it became apparent to V1 that they are merely a chess piece, moving at the hands of an unseen player; one that is swiftly closing in on the other for a resounding checkmate. At the very end of Hell, Gabriel loses his final match with the machine that unwittingly broke the shackles he had noticed far too late.
Rather than putting an end to his existence, V1 instead takes the opportunity to shatter the board and stop the game.
In the aftermath, both machine and archangel are left standing in the settling dust of the collapsed echelons of creative order. But a scorched earth isn't always the end. Something will eventually grow from the ashes of utter destruction, if given the chance.

Summary
“I don’t need anything- there’s nothing wrong with me! I’m fine!” He’s shouting now.
Hancock takes a deep breath, closing his eyes. When he opens them he says, “You can’t keep going like this, you’re gonna destroy yourself.”
Nate laughs harshly, there’s no joy in the sound. “Who cares! Who fucking cares what-“
“I care, asshole!” Hancock cuts him off.

Bookmarker's Notes
Psychological thriller with a hopeful ending.
Slow-burn? More like "this is fine" *proceeds to burst into flame multiple times**sizzles in the heat, a husk of a man*.
Read some of the updates as they dropped, and the cliffhangers at the time where some amazing highs.
Not recommended for the faint of heart.
Note to self: if you don't remember this one reread it again, it's a favorite. -

Summary
Nate wakes up in spring, and works tirelessly to save Shaun all summer long. Winter finds the Sanctuary settlers unprepared for survival, their resources drained dry by Nate's futile quest, and in a last ditch attempt to make up for his failure, he takes a crazy job from Bobbi No-Nose.
Surprisingly, Hancock doesn't murder him for breaking into his strong room and wounding Fahrenheit. Instead, he offers Nate a deal: the Sanctuary settlers can winter in Goodneighbor if Nate works off his debt by becoming Hancock's bodyguard and travelling companion.

Really good slow burn and character development. Differs from canon (the main storyline in particular), but in a good way.
Good to read during private time, but not all at once, for it's length will outlast the night. -

Summary
It’s not cold enough to stop Synchro from standing outside, and it’s certainly nothing like the oppressive, all-encompassing cold of a few days ago, the one that knocked the air out of his lungs and invaded him outside and out.
He wishes they could have skipped this network.
