Summary
Ancient mythology retold with modern technology.
HTML and CSS-heavily edited and modernized stories, inspired by ancient texts like Greek myths told by Ovid, the Christian bible, or German poets. It is as strange as it sounds.

“Tyelpë, were you hurt?”
Tyelpë said, in a thin voice, “I was brave.” He did not look brave now. He looked like a child, too small for the sword strapped to his waist, even though it had been made for him.
“Yes,” Curufinwë said, pulling his hood back up. “I’m sure you were. Come, let’s clean your hair.”

Amrod and Amras, who didn’t know that Elwing’s brat had a twin, fall as silent as their five mutual dead brothers and look down at them.
The twins stare at the twins, and the twins stare at the twins.

Summary
They were not what anyone would have asked for, he and Elros. The Sons of Elwing had been taken away in the night and returned something other – something alien and warped. And no matter what anyone said, Elrond knew they did not measure up to the lamblike paragons they had been made into in their absence, those emblems of saintly suffering.
It was easy to mourn the sweet, captive boy-princes cruelly snatched away by shadowy figures amidst the fire and rubble of their home, harder to reconcile those imagined martyrs with the men that returned, all flesh and blood and human frailty, flawed and changed, the enemy's tongue falling from their lips.

Summary
Valinor was every bit as beautiful as the songs promised.
Its streets glittered with the dust of diamonds, gleaming under the radiant light of a sun that shone brighter, purer over the hallowed lands than it ever had over Middle-earth. The peaks of the Pelori, soaring and snowcapped, loomed pristine in the distance, mocking her with every glimpse. These were not mountains that had ever known the tread of an orc's foot, nor suffered spilt blood or harrowed screams. Even the sands of Eldamar were white and silken underfoot, nothing like the abrading grit of the beaches of Belfalas where her mother had once reigned.
Celebrían hated it.

Bookmarker's Notes
Instead of obediently fading away like a good, pious little wife and daughter, she had persisted in inflicting her shame on all around her – a terrible inconvenience to her family, a giant, impure stain on her lineage.
