He was supposed to live a blissful life on a nondescript cul-de-sac, complete with a white picket fence and a closet full of tasteful polo shirts. He was supposed to make a graceful transition between being the golden boy and being the American Dream.
Mediocrity was what destiny had designed for Steve. Reality had other plans.

Steve stands frozen at the question. Looking up to meet the man's stare. "Just...School. Work. Life. The usual..."
The man tsks. "Seems like you could use an outlet." He bites down on the other end of the lemon reaching into his pocket, to pull out a card. "I think I can help with that."
Steve fumbles the card for a moment before looking at it. "What's this?" The card is dark matte grey, with shiny black lettering. It reads:
E.M.
Dungeon Master @ The Hellfire Club
(555) 555-5555
He grins, sharp smile on full display. All pretty white teeth and dimples. "Let me know if you're interested. That's my personal number." He sets the lemon peel down on the bar, takes the last sip of his drink and stands up. "Name's Eddie by the way. I assume I'll hear from you soon. Do some research. Until next time, beautiful." He bows dramatically, hair tumbling forward over his face, then saunters out of the bar like that was his only purpose.

But he didn’t count on the fact there was one person in the room who, besides Eleven and Hopper, had the reason to be the most stir-crazy of them all — and Munson had practically made antagonizing Steve into an even bigger pastime than a professional goddamn sport.
There were a variety of one liners he liked to deploy when Steve would roll his eyes or let loose a huff of annoyance.
“What’s got your panties in a twist, Harrington?” he would ask, or, “Baby skip his nap today?”
A personal favorite of his seemed to be some variation of asking if it was Steve’s time of the month. “You on your period, sweetheart?” he’ll ask. It never failed to kill with the boys, who would fall all over themselves laughing when he asked — usually after whatever meeting they were in, because it also never failed to get Nancy apoplectic. Munson, to his credit, had only needed twice to learn to keep that one way under his breath and out of her earshot for fear she’d shoot his nuts off.
These questions also had the unique ability to make Steve as red as a fucking tomato which, like, fuck him, he guessed.
In which Steve learns a thing or two, by doing a thing or two.

It was a disaster, a complete and utter disaster. Go figure the first time Steve had actually ordered from the stupid website he would pick something out that was insane. Not even a double take sort of insane either, no; it was the kind of insane where one would look for a moment and immediately walk away. That was how big this… this… he couldn’t even find himself to say dildo because what was currently lying in the discreet box was not for actual use. At least not to use on Steve Harrington.
Thankfully the gentleman for the website’s customer service line was more than helpful.

Because once a week, he had the house entirely to himself from nine am to eight at night while he had his usual day off at the library and Robin was in class all day (and Eddie was on tour). He didn’t need the run of it, of course, because Robin would actually kill him if she found out he was engaging in sex acts in the kitchen — but it was nice to know he could be, like, loud and shift if he needed to.
(That, actually, might have been the only other thing Robin judged him for, but, in his defense, he grew up alone in a big ass house — he never really had to learn to be quiet.)
