Then like an anomaly in one of his datasets, a green OPEN tag appears next to one of the restaurants. Shane squints his eyes, having difficulty seeing properly without his glasses.
Irina's Kitchen

3 reviewsShane doesn't bother reading them. He taps on the website and waits for it to load. Only to be met with error.
Sighing he exits the page and keeps on scrolling. Nothing that is open catches his interest and the rest are closed. He's wondering how stale celery would taste dipped in pickle juice when his eyes land on Irina's Kitchen once more.
There's a phone number under the address. Shane bites his lower lip and wonders if he should call.
A woman with an accented voice picks up after the 5th ring.
“Hello?”
“Uh, hey, are you guys still open?”

“Marley.” Ilya says evenly, suddenly knowing he can actually breathe. He had a plan and he knew what he needed to do. And he couldn’t do it from the locker room bench. “If he is very injured, if he cannot play again, if he is very bad, I will kill you. I will kill you painfully.”
Cliff gapes at him.In which the hit that Cliff Marleau had on Shane Hollander goes a little different. For one, they’re in Boston. For another, Ilya realizes he might be panicking? Which is probably not something to do in the middle of a game. And, oh yeah, he just outed both himself and his not-boyfriend to an entire locker room of hockey players.
But that’s okay, because while Boston may be vicious, they do take care of their own. And they quickly realize that their captain’s happiness and willingness to stay with the Bears is tied to Shane Hollander. The solution is easy, they’ll just have to make Shane Hollander a Bear.

"Jackie called and said that she, I mean, we love you both. She... Um, also said that Ilya wears a size 10. And that he likes gold more than silver, though you probably could figure that yourself."
Shane blinked, staring at Hayden like he'd lost his mind. Hayden let out a breath, deflating a little.
"Shane, man. I love you, but you're an idiot. You just almost lost him in a plane crash. What the fuck are you doing?"
"Huh?" Shane asked. "You just told me his ring size, I need to go look-"
"No, what are you still doing here in D.C.?"
Post-plane crash AU where Shane goes to Tampa like he should. And he takes Hayden with him, because everyone needs their best friend when they're about to get engaged. Also Shane has no clue what he's doing. So they make a really, really, insane plan to get Shane to Tampa and propose to his boyfriend.
