Izuku Midoriya has spent nearly a year chasing All For One across a fractured Japan, running on nothing but stubbornness and a slow-burning need to end it. When a call from a recovering Nagant gives him a real lead—a mansion in Haibori Woods where AFO has been working on something he refuses to abandon—Izuku knows it's a trap. He goes anyway.
But the fight doesn't go as either of them planned. A desperate last gambit from All For One tears a hole between worlds, and Izuku falls through—into New Eridu, a city that runs on a completely different set of rules. Stranded, and stripped of everything familiar, he'll have to figure out how to survive in a place where Quirks don't exist, where Hollows roam, and where the people who notice him aren't sure whether he's a threat or something that needs to be saved from itself.

In the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, a weary and hardened 18 almost 19 year old Izuku Midoriya roams Japan as the solitary "Dark Hero," relentlessly pursuing leads on All For One. When Lady Nagant reveals the location of a hidden enemy base in Haibori Woods, Izuku walks straight into a carefully laid trap.
Confronted by a projection of All For One and a vastly empowered Tomura Shigaraki, Izuku fights with everything he has left—only to be pulled into a mysterious rift that tears him from his world entirely.
Spit out into the strange, Hollow-infested city of New Eridu with only a fraction of One For All remaining and severe injuries, Izuku saves a group of civilians from Ethereals which he thought were Nomu's at first and escapes his first Hollow. As he stands beneath an unnatural violet sky and a moon partially devoured by darkness, the devastating truth sinks in: he is no longer on Earth, and there may be no way home.
Alone, broken, and grieving everything he left behind, Deku must now find the strength to survive in a completely alien world.
