Ciri dragged a small fingertip along the bar counter, sweat leaving small trails for a few seconds before disappearing. It was a rather rowdy place, but she preferred it to the outside world full of psychotic Nilfgaardians and frosted ground.
She and Geralt were swiftly making their way towards Kaer Morhen, but she also knew her presence slowed down progress. Geralt seemed unwilling to push her through the rough trip, coddling her instead. Ciri sighed at the thought, twisting her ankles together and rumpling her skirts.
Melodious voices, the rumble of stomping feet and a tall figure dressed in red made her heart pound- but in a "butterflies are in my tummy and some probably got lodged in my chest cavity" kind of way. Her cheeks burned as she watched the red figure dance, large black boots clomping on the hardwood floors in a steady beat.
The group, for that is what they were- all dressed in similar reds and flushed from singing and knocking back large mugs of some amber liquid, played shanties she'd only ever heard about. The excitement tingled through her veins. She was certainly out of Cintra now, that's for sure.
