Gritting his teeth Aymeric pressed his pen down in punctuation far harder than necessary, as though the weight of his frustration (at having to clarify not once, not twice, but three times that Ehll Tou was as valued a member for the Firmament's reconstruction as any other worker and that no, a member of the Temple Knights would not “come and do something about this”) could be fully contained in a single solitary period. With a soft, pained snap Aymeric's pen skidded across the parchment– his single period turned into a bleeding gash across the page as the fine silver of his nib tip caught the candle light before drowning in a rising sea of black.

Her heavy footsteps mercifully cut off with only a quick flick of Aymeric's wrist as he waved her off before she could have a chance to offer to act as his escort. A silent request she complied with easily enough, filling Aymeric with a soft sigh of relief as she fell back to her post with a lopsided smile that slowly fell as she finally took him in– really took him in. Her eyes flashing with a spark of understanding that bloomed unabashedly across her sharp features as she properly took in his ostentatious attire–
Took in how his billowing red velvet cloak gave way to the occasional hint of errant feathers– sunset red plumage standing stark against eternal winter of Falcon's Nest and made only more pronounced with how each feather hummed with fire-aspected aether as it drew in what little the Highlands could bare to part with.
