“Oh. Yeah. They said—hold on.” The sound of sizzling meat fills the air in the little kitchen as Tobio looks through his phone again. “…They said that they didn’t really like you very much.”
Atsumu's about to meet his boyfriend's parents for the first time. He's cool. He's charming. He's successful. What's not to like?

Atsumu ignored that comment as he checked out his future partner, noticing again his brilliant blue eyes. Kageyama, as he’d learned his name was from the advisors, had healthy skin, soft black hair that fell like a cascade of silk between his eyes, and an adorable expression of disdain on his face. He was wrapped in finely embroidered navy and gold robes and stood slightly shorter than Atsumu, which meant that he was still quite tall…and strong but more slender than his future king and husband. And yet he’d physically trapped him, sending excitement signals through Atsumu’s body. Having such a thrilling reaction to a male omega had never happened to him—he’d only slept with beta males like Kita or beta women.
