Summary
As a child, Laxus Dreyar bore the gifts of a Dragon's Lacrima. His power was overwhelming, his magic unstoppable, and his lust for dominance became all consuming. To be strong, and feared, and revered was all Laxus ever needed, and everything he did was in aid of that.
But what if something changed? What if the Lacrima didn’t settle right? What if scales covered his skin, if urges overwhelmed good sense, and a new priority he couldn’t understand became the sole focus of his life?
What if the dragon within began to burn, and all because of Freed Justine?

Summary
This story is set shortly after the Tenrou island story arc, when everyone has been rescued and returned safely home, and Laxus is living briefly in the woods outside of Magnolia, because even though he came to the rescue on the island, has hasn't yet been welcomed back into the Guild. Freed, who is an elegant, refined sort of a person, simply can't stand the fact that his Thunder God is living like a vagrant in the woods. Unbeknownst to anyone in Fairy Tail, Freed owns a pretty decent sized house in town, in addition to his rooms at the Guild. He keeps it a secret because he doesn't want his friends to know his family has a lot of money, sort of the same way Lucy felt. He tried to get Laxus to agree to come and stay with him, because he has plenty of room. Laxus thinks this is a really bad idea, because he'd be a bad roommate, since he's a man who always wants things his way. Freed is very okay with this. Laxus doesn't think Freed knows what he'd be asking for. There are a lot of things they don't understand about each other. Freed uses Jutsu Shiki to prove how serious he is.
