    Tim Drake was a relatively normal kid.

    Except for, maybe, the itch.

    He first felt it seeing Dick Grayson fly the skies. It was the itch to see, to feel, to know. He couldn't stop himself from following Robin at night. He was light, he was hope. And then Dick Grayson left. And then he appeared.

    Suddenly, it wasn't enough to simply see and feel and know, no, he needed to be seen and be felt and be known. Following Robin and Batman wasn’t enough anymore, but it was all he could do. Except… Well, he realised, I could follow Jason.

    Against all odds, Jason Todd actually was a normal kid.

    And then he wasn’t a normal boy anymore, he was just dead.

    Until Talia brought him back to life and told him about the new Robin, Timothy Drake, and showed him a picture.

    His thoughts on the subject had quickly changed after Talia had shown him that first photo. He was still right, Tim had taken what was Jason’s, yes, but, he also thought, if you cut out a few words, you got a much prettier picture: Tim was Jason’s.

     

    Or… The development of Tim and Jason’s mutual obsession as seen in snapshots of their lives culminating in their first actual meeting.
