    Summary

Will isn’t really sure why he buys the bookshop, in the end. He could have bought anything with the rather hefty please-keep-your-mouth-shut settlement from the FBI – turns out that the only thing more embarrassing than locking up the wrong person is wrongly locking up one of your own people – but he’d been browsing the ads looking for a place to stay, a place not tainted by bad memories and nosy reporters and former colleagues, and he’d seen an ad for a bookshop. He'd thought that there was nothing special about it, except that it was the change he needed after weeks he spent in the bowels of the BSHCI.

That is, until it turns out that the bookshop is special, because it is haunted by one Hannibal Lecter.

    Summary

Everyone in Baltimore believes Hannibal Lecter is a grieving widower, a tragic figure hosting lavish dinner parties in quiet devotion to his lost wife.

In reality, Hannibal is far too consumed by his own theatrics to correct them—too busy pining over his estranged husband, Will Graham, who is very much alive and deeply annoyed. Will, for his part, just wants Hannibal to sign the damn divorce papers… or so he keeps telling himself.

As misunderstandings spiral and unspoken feelings fester, Alana and the others remain oblivious to the truth: the greatest love story in Hannibal’s life isn’t one of death and longing, but of stubborn exes locked in a battle of wills neither truly wants to win.

    Summary

„How often is the first touch of a soulmate on your throat? That just has to be an interesting story.”
“Hardly.” Hannibal waved it off. “I was just clumsy and fell over a crease in the carpet. In a desperate attempt to right myself I grabbed at the person standing next to me and unluckily managed to choke poor William. Luckily he managed to forgive me this terrible first impression.” Hannibal raised their entwined hands to press a kiss to Will’s knuckles.
“Oh.” Margaux sounded slightly disappointed and looked at Hannibal’s cheek where golden markings showed where Will touched Hannibal for the first time. “And after you caught Hannibal you touched his cheek to make sure he was alright?”
“No.” Will answered. “I slapped him for his impertinence.”

In a universe where the first touch of your soulmate on your skin will leave a mark that lasts for the rest of your life, Will has a golden handprint on his throat. This is the real story of how he got it.
