Summary

She loved the dream of dragons: of their great stature, of their power, of their chance to carry a rider through cloud and sky. She was born too late to have a dragon of her own, but she has an egg, an egg, and a dream. It is a great dream, and yet one so few believe in. Dragons are gone from the world, they say. What chance is there of her egg to hatch, when so many others haven't? Who could ever hope to dream of soaring amongst the clouds on dragonback, or to hear the power of a dragon's roar, when not so much as a hatchling was left?
No one else might still believe. No one else might still hope.
