    Hitoshi’s pushed until the back of his neck is exposed. He jolts when the beast’s teeth close around the loose skin there. Waiting for the pain is almost worse than the idea of dying itself, so he closes his eyes and braces to be crushed.

    His heart dips down and the press of the floor disappears suddenly as wind rushes over him. It feels like that time he fell down while trying to eat a bird’s eggs. It feels like flying.

    Hitoshi struggles to find a meal. In his hunger, he accidentally stumbles into another dragon’s territory.

    Damian closes his eyes and refuses to cry in front of his rival. Timothy doesn’t comment on it. Instead he places a gentle hand on Damian’s head for a second before he gets up and quietly exists the room again to give Damian his privacy.

    Damian is 13 when he meets his father for the first time - the same age as his rival (and brother) Timothy Drake. This changes everything and nothing.

    It is an undisputable fact that sirens are beautiful. Their patterns are unique and colorful with scales as hard as rock, their hair is as smooth as silk and twice as durable, and their teeth can be ground down to make the most shining pieces of jewelry.
    Of course, even if catching and harvesting a siren will mean you'll never have to work another day in your life, it's not going to be easy. Sirens are intelligent and fierce. You're a thousand times more likely to be eaten by one than successfully catch one.
    But humans can be smart too. They know they only need to catch a couple of them before they can start making their own.
