It goes according to no one's plans: Earth dithers, Ivanova stews, Kosh is his usual helpful self, Franklin makes assumptions, Sinclair tries to hold everything together, the three aides mount a cockamamie rescue, and Delenn hopes only to keep Londo and G’Kar from killing one another long enough for someone else to do it. It's a Columbo story! It's a Columbo case story with Sergeant Wilson! There is nothing about this that isn't wonderful, from the plot that feels like it could have been a missing episode, to the pitch-perfect characterizations. If you've watched Columbo and just want one more thing, this is it! Also, just read that description. That description is a dead-ringer for the episode descriptions in the Columbo boxed set. And that? That's the sort of attention to detail that makes this story the joy that it is.

A crazy fun adventure told almost entirely off-screen as the two characters in the lead have an ordinary day. The result is something that is humorous, exciting, but also just fun. Not seeing the big adventure somehow makes it even more enjoyable. And in true Adam Adamant style, there's a limerick!
