"We're almost there," his mother said, ignoring his question. "Another mile. Please. Please. Please."
Percy didn't know where there was, but he found himself leaning forward in the car, anticipating the arrival. Percy suddenly came to the realization that he didn't know where they were, either. It didn't look like Montauk anymore. It didn't really look like New York anymore. Percy wasn't sure if his mom was seeing this, too, but outside, it quickly shifted from rain and darkness to golden hills, dotted with moody-looking lakes, angry woods, and a few herds of perturbed cows irritated by the rain that seemed to follow their car. A flat checkerboard of neighborhoods interrupted the strawberry fields that they'd just been approaching.
Was this San Francisco?
A thick sadness weighed on Percy’s chest on top of the fear and confusion that told him he’d been to San Francisco before, but he didn't remember anything like that happening. It was hard enough to convince Smelly Gabe to let them go to Montauk (which was definitely never happening ever again, judging by the state of the Camaro), let alone across the country.

Summary
Tim may or may not have woven an elaborate web of lies to tie his plan of convincing the Waynes they didn't need to adopt him together with his plan of figuring out why Jason was alive & back in Gotham without telling anyone about it. It may or may not have caught up with him multiple times over the last half hour (worst 30 minutes of Tim's life that didn't involve someone he cared about dying, if you even care.) And he's only figured out maybe half of either problem...
Jason doesn't really know what to do with the kid he has been tricked (kicking & screaming the whole way, for the record) into caring about. On the one hand, Tim is clearly delusional about his place in the family (both their places, really,) and he was still crazy enough to hire a complete stranger to pretend to be his uncle; Tim got lucky it was Jason he found first. And now Jason's cover is blown, and there is definitely a breakdown in his near future, and Tim keeps looking at him with those sad puppy eyes...
Dick just wants his baby brother safe from Gotham's newest criminal mastermind, and is probably having the worst day of all.
