When they arrived back home they were still carrying that gentle tenderness they had been sharing since the bench. Merrick had cleared her things away before they'd left for their walk, and Lestat's home was quiet as they entered, devoid of Merrick and devoid of Claudia and devoid of any evidence of the ruinous happenings only hours before.
