Summary
In an alternate universe, Jim Kirk is a young, brilliant student in a space project, directly after the devastating III world war, a conflict responsible for countless deaths, including Jim's father's. In the early 2060s, he gets to test Zefram Cochrane's newest invention. Unfortunately, something goes wrong and he ends up shipwrecked alone on a totally alien planet: Vulcan. The locals are distrustful of him, because their earlier secret surveys on Earth found humans to be a violent and dangerous species. Jim tries to convince them that Earth has overcome its differences, but ends up the prisoner in the house of Sarek, one of the participants of the earlier missions to Earth. Little does he know that Sarek's son, Spock, whose real identity contains at least one great mystery, will change his entire life. For the better.
