Summary
“I’m fine,” Ilya insisted weakly, though his voice lacked conviction.
“You are bleeding all over our bathroom floor,” Shane said, his throat tight with fear. “You are not fine.”
Ilya tried to laugh.
The sound came out thin and uneven.

Summary
While pulling clothes from the dryer, Buck’s hand brushes past a collection of underwear and mismatched socks before landing on something thicker, heavier.
It’s a hoodie. Soft from too many washes, sleeves just slightly frayed, the inside still holding onto the faint heat of the dryer. Buck stares at it for a second longer than he probably should, thumb brushing over the worn fabric. His hand drifts to his back pocket, reaching for his phone. The reflex is automatic: shoot Eddie a text. Hey, found your hoodie. Want me to mail it? It would be easy.
But his hand stills. The impulse fades as quickly as it came, because there's no version of that message that doesn't say I miss you. Are you coming back?

Summary
“No, no.” Eddie says, wagging his pointer finger. Buck realizes they’re a match in that regard. Eddie thinks he’s got a good poker face, but when he’s pissed, it’s clear as day. “You don’t get to do that.”
“Do what?” Buck realizes they’ve stopped whispering at some point. Their voices are raised now.
“Tell me what’s good or bad for Christopher.”
Buck knows he shouldn’t ask, but he can’t help it. “Why not?” Maybe he wants to hear the response.
“He’s not your son, Buck.”
Buck sees it instantly; the regret on Eddie’s face. “Get out.” He doesn’t care.
“Buck-” Eddie tries to reach for his shoulder, but Buck brushes him off. “I didn’t-”
What happens next is fuzzy, and it happens fast. First, Buck notices the room is warmer than it should be, and then he sees a bead of sweat roll down Eddie’s cheek— which is strange, because perfect Edmundo Diaz doesn’t sweat. And then he’s looking up, and the air is dark and hazy, and the ceiling caves in.___
In which Buck finds out about Eddie's latest shenanigans, and before they can finish fighting about it, they're interrupted by Buck's apartment burning down.

Semi-apocalyptic AU ft. copious amounts of feelings and killing. "Fine," he said, squeezing his eyes shut even more. "Here's the plan: you get infected and I'm the one to do it. No one else, no exceptions. I don't care if you have to infect half the state before you can get to me, if I'm out tracking. You come to me and I'll do it."

Summary
Eddie wasn't a hands-on type of guy. Sure, he loved to be affectionate with his partner in private, but in public, it wasn’t ideal. This was ironic because his boyfriend, Buck, was the exact opposite. Buck loved being handsy. PDA was his religion. Wherever they were, Buck always had a hand on Eddie. Whether it be at the firehouse, the store, in their bed; Buck was rarely an arms-length away.
