While there, she remembers something which troubles her. Nick helps her to figure it out (and hopefully, she'll figure something else out, too).
I really hope you like this, and that you don't mind the background pairing sneaking in! Despite some of the heavy-sounding tags, this fic is not grimdark, but it does reference canonical childhood bullying and speciesism. I hope it didn't drag down the fic too much, because I know you wanted something light.
'Har, har' spelled with an 'r' throughout because that's how Ginnifer Goodwin's delightfully dry delivery is subtitled in the film, and I figure that's A Thing for them.
(Post-Z1 / gen) Judy invites Nick to visit her family, then spends the entire time fending off assumptions that they’re that kind of “partners”, though nobody else (from her parents, to Gideon & Travis, to her li’l cousin Cotton to her sister Trudy) seems to have a problem with the notion. Ends with Nick kinda-sorta-conning her into agreeing to be a couple.
Nice li’l quasi-character study on Judy, latent prejudice and hidden feelings.

This was sweet (even if I was slightly disappointed Nick kept his knowledge secret, denying us a “he and Judy confide in each other” scene).

(Post-Z1 / gen) Whilst lying on top of each other in their underwear binging TV in their shared apartment as is customary for them, Judy realizes they’re basically dating; they both decide, hey, that works, and resume watching TV with plans to resume discussing it tomorrow.
Super cute and fluffy domestic SoL one-shot. Love this “two dorks in love realize they’re already dating” trope, and even more when their reaction is basically “oh, that’s neat”. ❤️
