Summary
Patty never met Max Mayfield in person during her brief stint in Hawkins before Henry captured her. The young girl was still in a coma, for godsake! But Patty had seen so many photos, handed to her by a smitten, if understandably distraught, Lucas Sinclair.
She feels the terror swarming throughout her body at the sight of a disheveled and frightened Max; she appears so malnourished and worn. How long has she been here? How and why is she here?!
It turns out Henry wasn’t lying; there is indeed a fox problem in the woods.

Dustin makes Diana happy, which is undoubtedly the most important thing of all. Whether it’s just puppy love or something far deeper, Patty really doesn’t mind; as long as her baby girl is safe and comfortable, that’s what ultimately matters to her, and she knows Henry shares a similar sentiment, despite what his cold exterior may initially convey.
Or: Their teenage daughter growing up understandably makes Henry and Patty feel a range of emotions.

Summary
The party managed to survive the battle with the Mind Flayer. Of course, not without a few bruises and an unconscious Henry Creel. Nothing too crazy. Not at all. He was just as trapped as the twelve children, information they acquired thanks to Will and El, or else; heads would have rolled. Now stuck with a former serial killer (was it even his fault?), the party must learn to move forward and face the dangers that still haunt Hawkins. Meanwhile, Henry must navigate through the web of trauma, facing his past, and deal with a bunch of teenagers that will try to kill him in his sleep the first chance they get (he doesn’t blame them). But of course, this is all easier said than done.

One of the best fix-it AUs in this fandom for the finale, this actually brings me such joy it’s insane. The drama and comedy of it all is perfectly balanced and any writer who gives Henry Creel the happiness he always deserved is a winner in my book! 🩷
