'If I can’t be my best self… then what am I doing here?'
He didn’t want to burden them. Didn’t want to drag down the balance they’d worked so hard to build.
Maybe the answer wasn’t to force himself harder. Maybe he just needed space.
A reset. Time to get himself back together so he could return properly — brighter, steadier, worthy of the place he held beside them.
Tsukasa lay back on his bed and stared up at the ceiling, one hand resting over his chest. This wasn’t running away. He was sure of that. It was fixing the problem.
And once he did, everything would be fine again.
