When a drunk Rock Lee crashes into Gaara after a Kage meeting visit, he loudly demands to know why his boyfriend hasn't written in two months—inadvertently outing their fourteen-month secret relationship to his horrified teammates. The Kazekage calmly explains bandits have been stealing their love letters, which prompts Lee to immediately declare a passionate mission to defend all correspondence everywhere, forcing Gaara to physically cart his enthusiastic boyfriend home while TenTen and Neji process the revelation that their teammate is dating actual sand royalty.
