Latin phrase meaning "new star." It is used for any new star seen or born today, and often represents new beginnings.
In all dimensions, Geo Stelar’s seventh year is unequivocally his worst.
In most dimensions, this is because his father, Kelvin Stelar, disappeared into space, and is subsequently declared dead.
But in some dimensions, the reasons behind the seventh year being his worst year fluctuate. Sometimes it is because through a twist of fate Hope Stelar dies. Sometimes it is because both parents die. The worst seventh year is a constant. The reason is not.
In a certain dimension, the reason behind Geo’s awful seventh year is thus: a critical malfunction on Kelvin Stelar’s spacecraft the Peace is detected before take off, and the mission is canceled outright. Kelvin Stelar does not go to space on that critical mission, and therefore does not go missing. But Kelvin Stelar not going to space means he does not meet with a certain alien of a certain alien species….and that causes ripples.

Summary
RE2 remake really is a fantastic game, but after I played it (then immediately replayed it) I kept wondering what a proper A/B scenario would look like, one where Claire meets Ada and Leon meets Sherry. This is a byproduct of those musings: neither a rewrite nor full canon divergence, just... muddying the waters a little.
I have two more oneshot ideas set in this universe. Let's see if I can get them done.
