Summary

He has been submerged for ages. He's been floating around so long he doesn’t remember why he’s there or when he was submerged. Maybe he was born here. Born to drift in the nothing and to die drifting in the nothing. Never once forming a thought or choosing a direction to swim. He didn’t even know if he could swim. All he knew was the all consuming substance that flooded every orifice and its heat. He could never forget its sweltering heat. Boiling him down until he was nothing yet still figuring out to boil him more.
There was nothing more to him.
He should stop searching.

Simon stared up at the angel as it slowly kneeled down to Simon’s crawled body. Simon felt undeserving, for an angel was kneeling towards an undeserving convict. He was always told how undeserving he was, by Eden, the COI, The father. He knew. Simon knew he was undeserving of life itself. But seeing an angel kneel to hold his face better made him want to cry, he didn’t, but his eyes stung.
The angel’s hands grazed over Simon’s half mutated face, those blue eyes staring into his soul. Simon starts feeling tired, like he could die in this angel’s hands as a monster and be okay. The angel raised Simon’s face, Simon complied, he wouldn’t move unless the angel told him so. Then everything around them was gone, It was just an infinite ocean of blood and the angel that held Simon close. Simon felt the angel’s fingers pass over the sharp teeth pushing out of his skin on his face, the angel blessed him by kissing over it.
Oh.
