Summary
After Ashford, the royal family fed up with Aerion’s vicious behavior, silence him and exile him to Essos.
For two months, everyone assumes Aerion is simply evading family oversight. In reality, he has been captured, enslaved, and forced into being a breeder Volantis. He endures this for years until he is physically ruined, rendered barren, and dies tragically alone, broken in mind, believing his family hates him enough to have wished this fate upon him.
Unbeknownst to Aerion, his father Maekar had blindly believed his son was fine until receiving a report of Aerion’s horrific, prolonged death. Maekar is utterly devastated, blaming himself entirely.

Summary
Aerion Targaryen and Duncan Tall met by a stroke of fate. Their lives became intertwined the moment Duncan began training Aerion’s younger brother. It wasn’t long before their paths crossed and they fell in love. Duncan provided Aerion with a sense of security and belonging he never thought possible—the feeling of finally being understood.
Unfortunately, all that glitters is not gold, and nothing lasts forever; a truth Aerion had always sensed deep down. A bitter breakup and a heavy secret left Aerion Targaryen alone, holding two tiny hearts in his arms.
Four years after their parting, Duncan never expected to run into Aerion again. Even less did he expect to find two young children who were the spitting image of himself. Now, Duncan will do everything in his power to make up for lost time and win his family back.Series

Summary
Small.
That had been the first thing that Aerion had said when his new babe had been placed in his arms for the first time.
It was not something that could be said of her older brothers and sister. The first three children had been big, huge really—it was a wonder how they had even ever fit inside of him.
But this one was small. Tiny, really, even for someone who didn’t have a giant for a father. She was practically invisible inside the blankets.
When Aerion and Duncan's fourth child is born unusually small, Aerion becomes very protective of her in his own strange way.
