Summary
When a mission for the New Republic doesn’t go according to plan, Din finds himself stranded on a desert world with the one and only Luke Skywalker.
It takes exactly one night for Din to realize just how not-bad this whole situation is. There’s worse people to be stranded with than the guy you think you might—probably— be in love with and his little droid.
It takes exactly two nights for him to realize Luke’s probably the greatest catch he’s ever had in his life. The handsomest, for sure. And quite possibly the most compassionate one, too.
And once the New Republic finally does send a rescue team….. he’s sort of disappointed. At least it seems Luke feels the same way.

The Darksaber has corrupted Din during his ritual in the mines of Mandalore, in his attempt to redeem himself to his covert, filling his mind with the darkness of previous wielders, drowning Din in their will for power and vengeance when he submerged himself in the living waters, forcing him to take the mantle of Mand'alor.
The saber fills him with fear and hate, allowing him access to the darkside of the force.
