He’s but a hedge knight, half that, if he says so himself. Half of a knight, since title he does not have, no sword has graced his shoulder, and no vows had made it past his lips. But he thinks of Baelor Targaryen, the heir to the Iron Throne, and realizes that maybe he could’ve.
Could have made those vows, to a man such as him. Someone who put on a borrowed armour, and rode into a field of fight just for a mere man like him.
