Summary
Mike feels a little or a lot, never controlled and always one extreme or the other. It’s visible in the way he snaps at his friends when he gets too angry or too upset, and it’s audible in his relentless stutter that appears when there’s attention on him. It’s laced in the lies that he grinds out through his teeth, claiming that he’s fine, and it’s in the fight to appear as though he’s swimming gently through a body of water when in reality he can’t keep afloat.
His feelings are like waves, gentle or all consuming as they rise and fall with the tide, and nothing drowns him quite like Will Byers.

Summary
When Will needs to get his thoughts out of his head, he writes a letter he never intends to send. He addresses it to Mike, and tells him everything.
Feeling lighter than he has in weeks and buoyed by the adrenaline of writing it all out, Will acts on an impulse and ends the letter with, "If you’d be willing to give me a chance, I’d be really happy to date you. If you’re open to trying it, please meet me in Castle Byers this Saturday at 2:00pm. I’m not asking for any promises, I’m not asking for forever or anything like that; all I’m asking is that you give me a chance. Come if you want; if not, I completely understand, no hard feelings, and I’ll never, ever mention this again."
He forgets all about the letter, and the distinctive red envelope he stowed it in, until he turns around to find it missing. Now, Will has to think of some way to stop Mike from reading that letter - or should he wait at Castle Byers on Saturday at 2:00pm and pray for a miracle?

"I-It was so loud... in my head. I just needed to quiet the noise. I-It was the only thing that would make it 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥."
Mike's teeth are chattering so hard they hurt. He's shaking, his voice is shaking, and everything is spinning. The world ripples like murky water through his tears and blotchy vision, but Will is still. He focuses on him, on the fingers trickling soothingly down his spine like they're strumming a harp, and the smaller hand wriggled into his own, on the warmth of the body beside his own.
"I-I thought I-I could just stop whenever I needed to..."
"But you can't?" Will whispers. He sounds anguished, and it floods Mike with more shame than he can stomach. He gulps loudly, and at the nauseated look, Will looks slightly alarmed before Mike manages to reel his sickness back.
"No..." Mike echoes. It's horrific to admit, "I can't."

Mike reaches for his glass, taking it with both hands. Murray’s smile becomes broader, his teeth glistening as he bobs his head slowly in an affirming manner.
“There you go, Wheeler! Woo!” Murray exclaims excitedly. He won.
Will, wide eyed, looks directly at Mike, who’s eyeing his drink.
“I mean- he’s not wrong, Will.” He’s returning the gaze, holding it. His voice is soft, it’s careful and suggestive. He wants Will to do this with him, Will apprehends.He gulps, his gaze still locked with Mike's, and without breaking it, he takes the glass that hangs offering, towards him.
He lets out a huff of air.
“Lets have some fun boys! Cheers!”
Murray is gleaming.

Will’s stomach lurched. He forced himself to stand, making a conscious effort not to let the tension in his muscles betray him. “Nothing. Just tripped earlier.”
Nico didn’t move. He didn’t speak at first, his dark eyes never leaving Will. There was a silence that stretched between them, and in that silence, Will saw Nico notice it: the bruising. Not the vague, half-formed marks of a simple trip. Nico slowly looked up to meet Will's gaze, eyes widened.

He couldn't keep his mouth shut and he more often than not couldn't keep his attention for the life of him. But they all knew why, he has ADHD, so this was to be expected- but they still didn't get it, they still got frustrated at him for things he couldn't control. But somehow, his best friend never gave him slack for it even though you'd think he'd be the most upset of them all.
Richie learns he has someone who gets him, and the people in his life learn that they don't need to understand him, but respect him.

As if on cue, Eddie let out a yelp as his foot slipped off the branch. It would’ve caused him to plummet down to the ground, if Riche hadn’t caught him and pulled him into the room.
He may have pulled a little too forcefully though, because this made Eddie fall right on top of him.
The two, still clung very tightly to each other, laid on the floor of Richie’s room.
Richie looked down at his shirtless chest pressed against Eddie’s wet body.
