    On the inner colony planet Octans Major, a Covenant Faction led by a rogue Sangheili has invaded the city of Point Solitude. To ensure their takeover is victorious, they wish to release a bioweapon, except that it isn’t a bioweapon to begin with – it’s the Flood.

    There’s no doubt whatsoever that things will go badly not just for the populace of the city, let alone the Covenant faction, but potentially the galaxy if the Flood spreads. With the combined efforts of the UNSC and the Swords of Sanghelios, they intend on saving Point Solitude before things escalate.

    A homage to the classic 1954 film "Seven Samurai" (and a 1986 adventure module) featuring: Tenshi from Touhou Project, Agnès from Bravely Default, Garrett from Thief the Dark Project, Rita from Honkai Impact 3rd, Violet Evergarden from light novel/anime of the same name, and two Samuels from Metal Gear Rising Revengance and Serious Sam games.

    Their task-purpose? To defend DisCity-place from the Skaven, a race of funny evil ratmen that wouldn’t be out of place in a Saturday Morning Cartoon coming from the world of Mallus. What’s worse, they are bringing their A-game with multiple characters of legendary reputation from the infamous Grey Seer Thanquol to the dreaded Warlord Queek Headtaker.

    What’s even worse, the Skaven are far from the only new blight the city will face, the calamity of which is certain to bring the end to the city, if not the world.
    (This project is written so I can prove to myself that I can write a novel without getting sick from worldbuilder’s disease, as well as to disprove the notion of “evil races are boring”.)

    A remote UNSC world became the stage for a great battle. The Covenant invasion fleet was initially small, and UNSC forces pushed them back after an initial disaster of a space battle. Then the real fleet showed up. Spartans were deployed to the planet to run clean ups onky days before a CAS arrived, accompanied by six CCS-class cruisers. The space battle was over before it started.

    However, the UNSC ground forces held, making the Covenant pay for every centimeter of ground in blood. Because of how fierce the resistance was, the Covenant withdrew their troops. In their stead, they sentenced the planet to glassing. Survivors of the battle rushed to bunkers and caves. Thus, their real battle began.

    Something fractured when they were pulled through Hyperion's Gate. It was as if he could feel the sharp edges of where they had violently dived into the Gate had been left behind. The bridge was a mess, conduits hanging from the ceiling, exposed wiring emitting sparks. Crew members were holding one another up, sporting occasional burn injuries. The Freedom had been damaged coming through the anomaly, that much he knew. Everything else, starting with where they were, Septimius had no clue. The stars themselves seemed different, even if there was no immediate way of telling without comparing star charts.

    A console beeped with a warning, drawing his attention.

    "Sir, there is a ship out there! Unknown design." He hadn't needed that information as one moment later, a massive vessel larger than the Freedom had appeared in the main view port. Triangular in design, grey hull with a massive conning tower in the back. It was unlike anything he had seen before, and seemed to emit a cold presence he couldn't explain. Whatever it was, it meant to do harm to his crew.

    "Back us off! Now!" Fortunately, the AIMEs were still functional, and the battleship began to slide backward.
