Now, almost a year later, they've actually bought a house and are going for the apple pie life, whatever that is. Summary
Dean Winchester feels closed-in with his life at the behemoth, Mary’s Ark. His father has set him up with an arranged marriage and is refusing to budge on Dean’s suggestions to improve the steam engines. So... he does the most obvious thing surly young men do: he runs away.
While leaving the steam capital, he inadvertently meets Emmanuel, a man with secrets of his own, intriguing Dean enough to offer him a ride to a common destination.
It’s a serendipitous encounter, a trip across the country, and a chance to find where they need to be.

Summary
His entire body feels like it was lit on fire with a hot familiar power filling voided gaps. The air infuses his lungs as he gasps for a deep inhale, he coughs and his eyes snap wide open. Pushing himself up hastily, the angel gropes his chest and throat, a horrified, bewildered gaze flying up to the hunter.
With his voice rough and hoarse, with underlying fury, he asks, “What have you done?”OR, Castiel doesn't think he deserves to be saved. Dean is convinced he's wrong, so decides to take matters into his own hands.

Dean Winchester never wanted to wear a crown. He had no idea that he even could. It wasn't until the Campbell royals all got themselves assassinated by demons that he and Sam found out that King Samuel was actually their grandfather, and well, shit.
But Dean was a soldier before he was anything else. So maybe that's why he'll do anything to stop this awful demon war—anything. Even try to make an alliance with the angels.
They think they're gonna scare him off by telling him he's gotta be magically married—okay, okay, handfasted, but call it what it is—to some snooty noble angel for a whole year? They think Dean's gonna back out because the angels want him to be handfasted not to a proper princess, oh no, but to a prince?
