Grace is unprepared for the level of love that all of Erid seemed to have for him. It was vaguely terrifying, but also.... nice? To be cared for. To be wanted.
It gets worse when they find out the circumstances of him ending up on the Hail Mary.
When his declining health necessitates a trip back to Earth, he is faced with a planet that loves him so fiercely and wonderfully that it finally starts to break through his crippling lack of self worth and bloom into something incredible.
And Earth? Earth has to deal with an Erid that is polite, protective, and most of all, pissed.

Summary
Iron Lung meets Project Hail Mary. After spotting the floating remnants of the Iron lung from the Hail Mary on Grace and Rocky's journey back to Erid, Grace insists on bringing it with them.
Grace gets on his space suit and goes and tethers it to the hail Mary. Rocky uses his ship to manufacture a link with the iron lung and they manage to pry open the window shield to reveal someone inside.
They manage to cut open the iron lung and get its sole passenger to med bay and have Armando stabilize him until they get to Erid.
Simon barely comes to, but just manages to make out Graces sillouette in front of a bright light, before falling unconscious and kept in a stable coma for the rest of the trip.
How will these two Patron Saints of One Way Trips learn to cohabitate on a completely foreign world? Will Simon be able to adapt to living a more stable, civilian lifestyle? Will Simons shadows stay behind him and not destroy the life he will build for himself?
Will both of these lonely humans be able to find solace and acceptance being the only human souls on the edge of a foreign galaxy? Only time will tell.

Summary
It's been years since Doctor Ryland Grace saved Erid and Earth. He is content with his life, happy just to teach the next generation of Eridians and have the occasional game night with Rocky and Adrian in his dome. For the most part, nothing changes.
And that's the problem. Shouldn't Grace, y'know...age? When Rocky indicates that he should be sixty human years old by now, Grace can't reconcile the young face in the mirror with the time that his friend has religiously kept.
Things get more complicated when another undoubtedly human ship shows up at the edge of the 40 Eridani system. Suddenly Grace is playing ambassador between the two species, and tensions are rising between them. But ever since she met Asta when he was a small child, he had been a bright kid, his inability to use magic never seemed to bother him, in fact it seemed as if it thrilled him. Even without magic, Asta always had a vivid and eye-catching presence. An out of this world kind of dignity and pride that no one could taint. For someone who is deemed worthless by many, he had the sort of confidence and self-esteem that no one understood. She couldn't understand his train of thoughts, but she admired his unbreakable will and determination.

Asta was pretty sure that everything currently happening to him was fate’s way of messing with him. But well, getting thrown into another dimension was just another shitty obstacle on his road toward being the Wizard King. It would take more than that to stop him!
Now if only everyone he met would stop treating him as if he was a kicked puppy!
