Summary
In one universe, the events surrounding the Power Stone in the aftermath of the Convergence went as follows:
Mega Man X and his team of new allies arrived to the combined space station/planet, Knowmoon. There, they encountered a reprogrammed Zero, who they were forced to fight until he was knocked back to his senses. With a new ally gained, they quickly dealt with Grandmaster Meio, recovered the Power Stone, and moved on to the next crisis that presented itself.
But what if, in another universe, the Power Stone had been a little more... proactive? Each of the Infinite Six, stones possessed of unfathomable abilities, had unpredictable wills of their own. What if the Power Stone decided it did not want to remain passive and instead found itself a suitable host to grant its boundless power to?
In this universe, Zero wakes up after the Convergence to find himself stranded in space with the blue gem in his forehead replaced with a purple stone.

It was only by looking back over the many years they had spent celebrating his life that he realized just how special the day really was. Somehow, this one day managed to tell an unexpected story with each passing year and gifted him a love that he came to cherish more than anything.

Summary
X and Zero know that they are nendoroids, but they don't care too much. No wars, no fighting, no Sigma, just them sitting on a store shelf together. Any conflict too big for their very small hands to carry.
It's all they wanted. Just X and Zero until the end of time, able to enjoy each other's company in peace.
Of course, unless a human separates them. -
