Summary
Kurapika has lost an arm and gained a daughter. Sleepless nights and midnight terrors haunt Kurapika, on top of the growing responsibility of a child. On the nights that he gets to sleep, he dreams of the hunter exam, of vast canopies of green forest, light filtering through the leaves and the warmth of a big body on his side. He dreams of a more innocent time, when he came to know what friendship was, and then romance. Leorio is vaguely on his periphery, a shadow in the building he lives in, running to the stairs when he is late to class and singing in the morning when he has to cook and wash dishes. One night, after two days of Wobble fighting a fever that won’t subside and doctors that won’t answer, Kurapika panics. There is only one person he can go to, and so he does.

Wolfwood gestures to her hand but doesn’t take it until she offers it to him. Her knuckles are a little red and her wrist’s a little swollen.
“Mr. Vash has a very hard jaw,” Milly says, laughing nervously.
“Yeah, hard head too,” Wolfwood replies. “Too stubborn to let anyone know what he’s plannin’. Next time you throw a punch, keep your wrist straight, in line with your hand, like a piston, it will hurt less.”
He doubts it’d been her first punch and doubts it’ll be her last, but maybe the next one will be a little less damaging for her and a little more damaging for whoever finds themselves on the other end of Milly Thompson’s fist.

Wolfwood and Milly have a chat before he leaves the caravan and Milly gives Wolfwood some incentive to cross paths with them again.
