Two littles in one house would be tough, especially considering how particular Shane could get. But Shane had promised he didn’t mind, both while big and little. And Ilya had made sure he could change his mind at any point, but after a trial period, Luca would be there to stay.

“No! ‘m fine! No need! Big boy!” His lips were quivering and he could feel his eyes turning blurry again. His head felt fuzzy as he took a step back away from Shane’s reaching arm.
“C’mon, buddy, let’s go.” Shane did not let him get away, gently wrapping his hands around Luca’s arms and pulling him in. Luca started to sob as he shook his head. He does not need help. He does not want to be an inconvenience. He can do it himself.
