Summary
After the death of █████████, Heathcliff attempts to join her by throwing himself into the River located on the Wuthering Heights estate and clear away his wretched existence. Instead, he wakes and finds himself on the shore next to the lighthouse of a slumbering Second Kindred.
Still sunken within her fantastical dreams, "Miguel" convinces him to return to the City under her tutelage and begin their escapades as Miguel, The Lighthouse Knight and Heathcliff, her Squire.
The duo proceed to royally screw up every chance encounter across the City as Miguel's Bloodfiend nature and the long-term effects of Heathcliff's exposure to the River slowly come to light and threaten to destroy the dream that has ensnared them.

“It’s… an old friend. Kyanite,” Garnet said, finally.
“Really?” Steven looked intrigued. “Why is she bubbled?”
Garnet took a breath. “She used to know Sapphire, before the Gem War. She was the only friend she had, back then. Then, after she met Ruby, and I was formed, we were on opposite sides of the war. We met in battle, and I—we tried to show her that Sapphire was still there…”
Garnet swallowed. She was finding it harder than she expected to say all of this out loud.
“But she hated fusion. She thought it was wrong. It didn’t matter to her that it was Sapphire. So, we fought. I bubbled her, and put her here…”
“And you haven’t un-bubbled her since?” Steven guessed.
Garnet nodded subtly. “I wanted to try to talk to her again, but I couldn’t be sure that I could get through to her. So, I waited.”
Steven frowned.
“Are you done waiting?”

In which Bubble is the second AI, knows he has a brother in Caine, and while the humans want him to make them a digital afterlife Bubble's only really interested in his brother. Rescuing Caine from the cellar makes the system register him as a human user-- bound to all the same restrictions as them.
Bubble will make the humans their heaven, but only so his brother is happy
