    Summary

Zuko has been traveling with the Avatar gaang for three weeks, five days, and, if he’s honest, far too many emotionally compromising group bonding moments.

Not used to sharing campfires without suspicion. Not used to laughter that isn’t sharp-edged or cruel. Not used to people standing close to him without flinching. And he is definitely not used to being grabbed.

Unfortunately, Sokka has decided Zuko’s survival depends on fixing that. With firebending off the table, Sokka, self-proclaimed “tactical genius,” has taken it upon himself to teach him non-bending close-quarters combat.

    Specifically: grappling.

Specifically: using Zuko as a demonstration dummy.

Zuko hates it...He absolutely hates it.

There is nothing dignified about being shoved, pinned, or manhandled mid-argument, and nothing strategic about the way Sokka keeps finding his wrists, shoulders, waist…

This is a problem...A serious problem...And Zuko is handling it very normally.

    Summary

Zuko, Sokka thinks, is like a black cat. Looks elegant, but is in reality a ball of anger and disdain. Above it all, however, he's an ill omen, always present when Sokka's world is going to shit.

Aang is captured by the Fire Nation? Of course, that’s Zuko's fault.

Suki's village is set ablaze? Zuko's around setting things on fire.

The North Pole is besieged? Oh hey, Zuko's here.

Sokka is trapped on a remote island with no way to get home, his friends missing and possibly dead? It was honestly stupid of him to think Zuko wouldn't be there. Still, as days stretch into weeks without any sign of help, maybe it's better to have company than to try to accomplish the impossible feat of getting home alone.

    ...maybe.

    Summary

"You think I hate you? You think I'd ever kill you?" Sokka holds Zuko's face in both hands, blood dripping from his lips. "I'd fall on my sword for you. I'd find you anywhere. What do you think that means?"

Rescued, but imprisoned, Zuko finds himself no further from death on a water tribe ship. Sokka, the chief, would see him bleeding out on the boards of the deck as justice. He's a fire bender, the evil of the war that his father rages through their world. Zuko hasn't been a part of that war. Not for years. Now he's thrust back into it against his will, finding himself fighting on a side he never expected to be a part of. Maybe he'll find a cause worth fighting for; someone worth fighting for.

    Summary

When Zuko arrived at the South Pole to capture the Avatar, the Spirits did not shine kindly on him and he finds himself a prisoner of the most pathetic excuse for a Tribe he has ever had the misfortune of seeing. He hates the seadog teen who managed to capture him with a boomerang, of all things. He hates that the boy is clearly clueless about how to treat prisoners of war. He hates that he's being treated well.

    -
Sokka's boomerang is never to be underestimated. The only issue now is that he's accidentally captured a Fire National - not knowing it's the Crown Prince of the Fire Nation. With no way to send the guy home, or release him without letting him freeze to death, Sokka finds himself in an uncomfortable situation which makes him feel weirder the more he thinks about it and Zuko definitely isn't making it any easier for him.

    Summary

The heat of the lava was still so present and so intense that it made Feng Xin's head spin, but he stood firm. He had to hold on.

It was a whirlwind of thoughts that certainly left his mind confused about what was right and what was wrong, about what he should focus on. Well, the doubt vanished when he looked ahead and saw Mu Qing.

In that glare and amidst so much smoke, confusion, and talking, Mu Qing looked so ruined, but it was Feng Xin who felt painfully shattered looking at him. His eyes went to Mu Qing's bare wrist, the weakness exposed for everyone to see the cursed shackle placed right there.

Feng Xin knew, for the first time, the pain of seeing someone he loved suffer.
